Mum also far preferred MySense to the alternative community alarm she initially had… much less cumbersome and less frustrating. I had far more comfort with MySense.

How MySense Works

MySense combines discreet in-home sensors with a comfortable wearable device to build a picture of what's typical for the individual.

When a critical event occurs – such as a fall – the system responds immediately. Falls trigger an automatic call to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre, where trained staff assess the situation and coordinate the appropriate response. For other events, an instant alert is sent via the app to family members or carers.

In addition to these real-time alerts, MySense also monitors for longer-term changes in behaviour - such as disrupted sleep, reduced mobility, or altered bathroom routines - and presents these as insights to help families and carers spot potential issues early and make more informed decisions.

1

Easy to Set Up

  • The MySense kit includes a wearable device, discreet sensors, and a home hub.
  • Setup takes around 40 minutes — no drilling, no permanent fixtures. Batteries last months, not days.
  • You can install it yourself or request a professional setup.
  • Sensors are placed in key areas - such as the bed, kitchen, front door, and bathroom - blending quietly into the background.
Your loved one carries on as normal - nothing about their daily life changes.
2

24/7 Fall Detection & Alerts

  • From the moment the wearable is switched on, fall detection and the one-press alarm button are active.
  • If a fall is detected, MySense connects instantly to our UK-based 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre.
  • Staff can speak directly through the wearable, reassure your loved one, and contact family or emergency services if required.
  • While automatic fall detection may not identify every fall, your loved one can always press the alarm button to request help.
Reassurance that someone will be alerted if something happens.
3

Building a Picture of Daily Life

  • Over the first week, the sensors and wearable learn your loved one’s normal routines - such as bedtime, meals, and activity levels.
  • This creates a personal baseline of wellbeing, so the system knows what’s usual and what’s unusual.
  • There are no cameras - just discreet monitoring of movement and routines.
Technology that notices, not intrudes.
4

Keeping Families Connected

  • The MySense family app brings everything together in one simple dashboard:
    • Daily wellbeing summaries
    • Event alerts when something changes
    • Longer-term trends and patterns over time
  • Access can be shared with multiple family members - so everyone feels informed, wherever they live.
  • You can adjust permissions or remove access at any time, keeping privacy and control in your hands.
A quiet, respectful way to stay connected and make smarter care decisions.

Emergency help. Wherever you are.

If the individual falls or needs urgent help, the wearable can be used to make an emergency call – even outside the home. No phone or base unit is needed. The call goes straight to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre, where trained staff will speak to the individual and alert the right responder – whether that’s a family member, a carer, or the emergency services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Privacy & Intrusiveness

Yes. MySense is fully GDPR-compliant. All data is encrypted and only used to support your loved one’s wellbeing.

No. MySense Everyday uses discreet, non-camera sensors and doesn’t record sound or video.

Ease of Use for Loved Ones

No. MySense Everyday operates using a built-in SIM card, so there’s no need for a Wi-Fi connection or internet setup in the home.

When first installed, MySense goes through a 7-day learning period to understand your loved one’s unique daily routines – like when they typically wake up, move around, or use the bathroom. This personalised baseline helps the system identify meaningful changes in behaviour, so alerts are more accurate and tailored to their needs.

The home sensors will still monitor their environment, but the wristband is essential for features like fall detection and emergency contact.

Yes. MySense is ideal for people with memory challenges because it requires no interaction – the system simply learns routines and alerts you to changes.

That’s okay. The only thing they’ll need to wear is a comfortable wristband. There are no screens or apps for them – everything works passively in the background.

Setup & Installation

Our MySense helpdesk is here to support you. Whether you need help with installation or after-care, our team is just a phone call or email away.

The kit is designed for easy self-installation and typically takes around 30–40 minutes to set up in the home.

You’ll receive your kit with full setup instructions. Our support team is available by phone if you need help at any stage.

It’s very simple. Sensors stick on with adhesive pads — no tools or tech skills required.

Using the App

Yes. The app will indicate whether the wearable is not being worn, helping you ensure full protection and accurate monitoring.

Yes. You can invite multiple family members, friends, or carers to join your loved one’s “circle” in the MySense app. Everyone in the circle can view wellbeing insights and receive updates, helping share the responsibility of care. However, for emergency alerts (like a fall or panic button press), only one person can be designated as the primary contact who will be called first.

You’ll have access to a clean, easy-to-use dashboard showing daily trends and instant alerts if anything changes.

Emergencies & Alerts

If there’s a fall or the panic button is pressed, the first call goes to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre. A trained operator will speak to your loved one directly through the wearable watch. Based on the response — or if there’s no response — they will then contact the nominated family member or emergency services, depending on what is most appropriate for the situation.

Payment

Yes, you may be eligible for VAT exemption under HMRC Notice 701/7, which allows certain products to be sold without VAT to individuals who have a chronic illness or disability. This includes people with a long-term physical or mental health condition that affects their ability to carry out everyday activities, or those purchasing on behalf of someone who qualifies. If you believe you’re eligible, simply complete your purchase as normal. Once your order is placed, please email us at support@mysense.ai to request a VAT exemption. Our team will guide you through a short declaration process to confirm eligibility. Once this is completed and approved, we’ll refund the VAT portion of your kit purchase.

If you have any questions about your eligibility or need assistance with the process, our support team is happy to help.

When you purchase MySense Everyday, your first payment will include the £149 (RRP £239.95) hardware cost and the first month’s subscription fee of £39 (RRP £45 per month). After that, £39 will be charged automatically each month using the same payment method you used at checkout. You can cancel anytime after the first 3 months, with one month’s notice.
